Filming at Hungerford Castle

Filming at Hungerford Castle

Orbis Conservation were project conservators, appointed by English Heritage, during the filming of a historical ‘comedy’ musical at Farleigh Hungerford Castle. We were working with the film crew to ensure that no damage was caused to the castle, and that all moveable objects were stored safely. We also undertook a condition report and project plan before the filming started. The repetition of the slightly cheesy title song wore thin after a while, but it was an interesting project that opened our eyes to another industry and their working practices.
